Hi!
This is a binary version of gifmerge 1.34 for Atari. It has been compiled
with gcc version 2.7.2 and linked with MiNTLib Patchlevel 46 on a TT running
MiNT 1.12.6. Since it doesn't use any specials it should run alright on
every TOS compatible machine.
If your operating system doesn't understand a file's x-flag you have
to rename the binary "gifmerge" to "gifmerge.ttp" or whatever you
like.
Gifmerge allows you to generate GIF animations (that most of today's
WEB browsers - including the most recent versions of CAB - support)
from a series of input files. Gifmerge was written by Mark Podlipec.
Rene K. Mueller has added some useful features.
While doing the Atari port I've made some minor modifications myself.
I've increased the revision number to 1.34, have added a subdirectory
`images' with a little example, the Makefile has been modified and
the options `-o' (for those whose shells lack of redirection) and
`-help' (for those that don't bother to have a look in the sources)
have been added.
For a short usage summary start gifmerge with option `-help'.
This will also indicate a URL that gives more information. For
detailed information see the included sources.
Note that there mustn't be any whitespace between options and their
arguments.
BTW, I haven't spend a lot of time on testing the program. Neither
have I bothered to beautify the code...
Have fun!
